Music Album: Messy Little Raindrops by Cheryl Cole

Last year, Cheryl Cole took a break from her group Girls Aloud and released her first solo album in the UK and Europe, and it did suprisingly well. Her singles Fight For This Love, 3 Words and Parachute were favourites of many around the world. With the announcement of her second solo album Messy Little Raindrops, I was eager to find out what it will sound like because to be honest, who would not want to hear a pretty girl sing.

Promise This, the hard-hitting first single is a pop record that will definitely have you jumping in the club. Everyone (featuring Dizzie Rascal) follows the same route, so does Yeah Yeah (featuring Travie McCoy), Better to Live, and majority of the album, so the direction does get really tiring. With all the pop/dancefloor records one would quickly get tired of it, but with records like The Flood, Raindrops, Happy Tears and Amnesia, there are still reasons to purchase this album.

Cheryl definitely has another platinum album on her hands and she has also improved vocally (well that is until I hear sing live again). I still praise her for a job well done but I think she should keep the dance records to a minimum and leave multiple dance records for Madonna, Kylie and Lady Gaga to do.
