Music Album: F.A.M.E by Chris Brown

After the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna incident, I think a lot of people wrote him off and vowed never to buy his music again. His last album, Graffiti was a good album but I think it came too soon after the incident, but ever since he has worked pretty hard to get back into the industry good books and with this new album I can say in the words of Charlie Sheen, Chris Brown is winning.

Following the success of his Fan of a Fan mixtape, Brown went back to the studio to start recording his two-way meaning album, F.A.M.E (Forgiving All My Enemies or Fans Are My Everything). The album had already spun 4 hit singles before its release, r&b flavoured Deuces and No BS, the pop heavy Yeah 3X and the bouncy, hip-hop influenced Look At Me Now.

With this album, Chris Brown continues to prove to us that he is undeniably a very talented singer and performer. He maintains his falsetto through out the album, experimenting with heavy pop sounds and mellow r&b melodies. I think while the Graffiti album focused more on his image, this album focuses more on the music. The Micheal Jackson and SWV-sampled She Ain't You, Up To You and Beautiful People are some of the tracks that make this album one of the best in 2011.
