Music Album: Watch The Throne by The Throne (Jay-Z & Kanye West)

Jay-Z and Kanye West have never hidden the Mentor-Protegee relationship that they have built over the years. Their relationship went up a notch, as they have frequently referred to themselves as brothers. Although they have managed to create and maintain a professional relationship, they have taken it a step further by recording a joint album, in form of what has been titled Watch The Throne.

No doubt, this album has been widely anticipated and brought with it, high expectation. Jay-Z has been named Best Rapper Alive more times than Diddy has changed his name and Kanye West is one of the very few rappers who has managed to input his imaginative creativity into his music, fashion and other artistic endeavours. Watch The Throne delivers in every realm, amazing production, notable trade of punchlines between both superstars. In the words of Kanye West, they both rap with "sophisticated ignorance".

Words really cannot express how impressive and top-notch this record is. Jay-Z and Kanye continue to prove that they are heavyweights in the industry and why high-profile tag team relationships like this work. Every single track has its own flavour to offer but some of my favourites are the cocky N***** in Paris, the Otis Redding sampled and featured Otis, the Curtis Mayfield sampled and featured The Joy, Primetime and Why I Love You.
