Music Album: The Beginning by The Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are one of the biggest, best selling group in the music industry. Consisting of Will.I.Am, Fergie, Apl D and Taboo, when all four of them get into the studio you are guaranteed a sound unlike anything you hear on the radio. Their last album The E.N.D was one of the best selling albums of 2009 and in 2010 they are trying to follow-up its success with The Beginning.

The albums first single The Time (Dirty Bit) has easily become a worldwide hit, with its classic sample, electrifying instrumental and accompanying video. Light Up The Night, Love You Long Time and the inspirational Own It (recorded to support the launch of Oprah Winfrey's new TV network OWN) are truly noteworthy. In true BEP fashion, the album is filled with eclectic songs and amazing production but it still does not measure up to the success of their 2009 multiplatinum seller. With amazing production and a futuristic sound, this album will no doubt be embraced by fans but when weighing its substance against that of The E.N.D, I must admit their is a great decline.
