Music Album: Killer Love by Nicole Scherzinger

After officially leaving the PussyCat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger has finally put the past behind her and has decided to try her chance at a solo career once again. Only this time, she first of all went for an international release date and since the album was received well worldwide, she plans to release the album later this year in the USA.

Nicole might try her best to make us forget her first atrocious attempt at a solo album, Her Name is Nicole, but we have not. I think the failure of Her Name Is Nicole laid in the fact that the hip-hop/r&b direction does not work for her. Killer Love on the other hand, has a more international appeal and that is the reason why it was well-received. However, she too was unable to escape the infectious production of RedOne who is the mastermind behind the instrumentals for majority of Lady Gaga's music catalogue.

The album is filled with dance-floor rhythms, hard-hitting snares and synths throughout its playing time. Don't Hold Your Breath, the second single released international contains electrifying vocal intensity where she declares "You can't touch me now, there is no feeling left so if you think I'm coming back, don't hold your breath", very reminiscent of something that Celine Dion or Shania Twain will do. Though majority of the album sounds dull, She impresses on songs like Powers Out, Right There, Heartbeat(featuring Enrique Iglesias) and the vocally charged Amenjena.
