Movie: Inception

It is no longer news that INCEPTION is one of the most talked about movies of 2010 and in recent times and when I finally got the chance to see it, I understood why. Never has a sci-fci/fantasy thriller movie caught my attention ever since I watched Matrix. The movie's lead is played by undoubtedly one of the best actors in Hollywood, Leonardo Di Caprio, so there is no reason for me not to watch it.

Dom Cobb (played by Leonardo Di Caprio) plays a skilled thief who achieves his feats by stealing valuables from deep within the subconscious of his victims, taking them deep into their dream world where they become more vulnerable and easier to be stolen from. All this he does so that he may get the chance to get home to be with his children again. He is pulled into one last job by the character played by Ken Watanbe (Memoirs of a Geisha) but this one proves to be a more complicated job with severe consequences as he has to do the unthinkable... Inception- a process of taking his victims three or four dreams deep into their subconscious and if they do not successfully get out of each dream that means they are liable to live the remainder of their lives as vegetables. Requiring a team of experts who can help him achieve this, as he had only done this process once with his dead wife Mal (played by Marion Cottilard) who obsessed with her dream world and lost touch with reality which in end led to her committing suicide. She had become an immense part of Dom Cobb's dream world becoming his villain who is set out to put a dent in all jobs he sets out on, including the last that could guarantee him freedom.

Inception is a fantastic movie, with an exceptional cast who all put in tremendous performances that all complimented each other. A mind boggling story line that would require the viewer to watch every scene closely with 100% attention and concentration, a movie filled with suspense that would keep you on the edge of your seat, amazing visuals that would make you think that a world like that truly exists. There has been so much debate over the ending of this movie but I think Christopher Nolan (Director of The Dark Knight) directs this movie and he successfully achieves what all thriller movies set out to achieve, which is, leave the rest to the imagination of the viewer.

Inception is a must-watch!!!
