68th Annual Golden Globes

The Annual Golden Globes was hosted by the hilarious Ricky Gervais. Even though it has been announced that he might never be called to host the awards ceremony again, I think he did an outstanding job, I kept laughing all the time he came on stage. It has been confirmed that his joke about the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is what cost him any future chances to do the job but I am pretty sure that in this case, one mans loss will be anothers treasure, another award ceremony will call on him for another hosting gig.

While watching Live on the Red Carpet on E! Entertainment channel, Fashion was kept really simple and elegant. Everyone was dressed like they were going to a typical black tie event, even though some celebrities got it wrong with their attires while some blew me away. Angelina Jolie, January Jones and Megan Fox got it right while Robert Downey Jr, Brad Pitt and Mark Salling of Glee represented for the guys.

Winners of awards came as no surprise to me, The Social Network won Best Picture (Drama) and Best Director, Natalie Portman won Best Actress for her role in Black Swan and Colin Firth won Best Actor for his role in The Kings Speech (one of the best films on 2010), while Glee dominated won awards for TV categories.
