Chrisette Michele, is what I would call one of the most genuine soul songstresses that has made her way unto the scene. She is sort of a mixture of the soulfulness and outspokeness of Erykah Badu and the beauty and sensitivity that reminds me of Jill Scott. It is hard to believe that this is her third album, but with every album she has continued to deliver excellent music.
Infused with traditional r&b, soul and hip hop sounds. She deals with topics from love, heartache and modern day rascism. A gifted vocalist and songwriter, she has delivered another solid album which I'm sure will receive a number of Grammy and ASCAP nominations. So In Love, Goodbye Game, I'm A Star and Let Freedom Reign are just few of the fantastic songs on this album.
