Music Album: Hell: The Sequel by Bad Meets Evil

Eminem, one of the world's biggest rap superstars who has the unforceable potential to crossover to charts of other genres and succeed exceedingly. Royce 5'9" one of the world's critically acclaimed underground rappers who has not managed to establish a successful commercial career but has managed to gain the respect of many heavy-hitters in the music industry. When these two join forces to create a rap group known simply as Bad Meets Evil, they deliver an album with so much grit, a kind that I have not heard in a long time.

Both rappers trade rhymes and flow on most of the songs and both hold their own by delivering amazing punchlines and overall some amazing music. This album is a true testament to the duos name, because a lot of the songs do sound like a bad and evil plot is being planned. The record sees the return of Slim Shady, a character last heard on Nicki Minaj's Roman Revenge, Eminem sounds sick and sinister like he did on The Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP. Royce on the other hand, maintains the flow that made him a critically acclaimed rapper.

If you have been busy listening to debuts by Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean, that's great. But if you want a rap album that reminds you of the concrete nature of rap, then this album is the one for you. Lighters (featuring Bruno Mars), Above The Law and A Kiss are some of my favourites.
