Music Album: Black and White by Wretch 32

Wretch 32 offers us his debut album, Black and White after gaining popularity due to the success of his single Traktor(Featuring L), a track that has become a club favourite in many UK club and gig scenes, its hard, grimey and somewhat grungy beat accompanied with his rhyming flow saw him reach the top 3 spot in the UK charts.

After a few shows around the UK, he has continued to soar and make a name for himself. In an industry where the rap game was all about Tinie Tempah, Professor Green or Chipmunk, it is nice to see that the urban music scene can still push out talent. Black and White is like any other rap album, songs about struggle, looking for a better life, women etc. What I admire most about this album is how he managed to keep the features less hip-hop, on Don't Go he features Josh Kumra and on Hush Little Baby he features the electrifying Ed Sheeran.

Overall, Black and White is a strong debut album but I still think it could have been better. There is no denying Wretch's talent, I just hope that he blows his critics out of the water with his next effort and the subsequent ones that will follow.
